For 2009 my word is FOCUS. This is the third year I have been participating in the act of picking a word to drive the year. It all originated with Ali Edwards and has continued with a great blog OLW. The idea is simple, but the results are awesome. I find it's a lot easier to apply one word to daily life than to try and keep resolutions.
I chose this word because I'm feeling a little scattered, spread thin and unfocused. So, this year I will remind myself to focus on what is important: family, health, faith, contentment, fun, friendship. More energy on the positive. Make myself a priority. To do things I love, not just do things.

You always have such fantastic ideas! I appreciate you sharing with us. My word is going to be 'SERVE', as in asking, listening and following the Lord as to how I shall serve Him. -Nanci
focus sounds a good choice. i think my word is "play", meaning relax, but be active as well. and happy, not too hard on myself.
