Memorial Day Recap

We are making great headway on our yard projects! We spent Saturday pouring concrete and now we are ready to make plans for the electrical and placing the hot tub. Below are some pictures of the progression from grass to concrete:

On Sunday we salvaged some old materials from the fence and made a planter box for the vegetables. We took the lead of our neighbors and put it along the driveway where it will get plenty of sun throughout the day. We planted two cherry tomato plants, carrots and yellow squash. It looks bare now, but we should be seeing sprouts in a week or so.

Lastly, we set the outdoor sink on a gravel pad. It's in a great spot, but a little too far away from the faucet, so we'll have to get a longer feeder hose. It'll be so nice to keep some of the mud outside. :)

After we get the hot tub moved and set, we're going to tackle the drainage problems in our side yard. We'll put in a French drain and maybe a pathway since we'll have the grass dug up.
