Off to a good start

We're finally getting some warmer weather and have been stretching our legs outside. Lots of bike riding, park days and playing outside.

Spring is here and that brings car show season. We spent a Saturday afternoon enjoying our first show a couple weeks ago. The kidlet HAD to pick all the dandelions he saw.

The kidlet has been finding his more daring side. Even a month ago, he wouldn't have thought to jump around this ring of rocks. Now, look out! He's been climbing higher on the jungle gyms each time we go to the park. I'm thrilled and weary all at once.

Today was a big day! This morning C's preschool class hosted a special Mother's Day Tea for us. They put out a beautiful table and served us cake and lemonade. As a special treat, they learned and performed songs and poems. There wasn't a dry eye at the table! It has been so fun to watch the kids grow together during the last two years and become friends with the moms.

To top off our day, we went to the kindergarten open house. We toured the school, met the teachers and principal, rode a school bus and were entertained by a clown. The kidlet is so excited to move up to the "big kid school".
